As parents and teachers we do not expect our children to be able to play the piano, or dance, or become proficient at a sport without instruction.  Now we at KASE would like to help dispel the myth that people must be born “with artistic talent” and that our young people should simply find their own path to artistic achievements.

The truth is that everyone can be taught to draw in a realistic way, but just as with all other skills in life, we must have arts education to become accomplished artistically.  Without the benefit of art instruction most of us cannot achieve the type of realism that we would like in our work, and the natural creativity that we all possess as children begins to dwindle as we mature and age.  We become self critical and feel frustrated with the lack of realism in our artistry as we proceed without instruction; this does not need to be the course of events for any of us.  At KASE we believe that by including arts education as part of a young person’s development we gain the benefit of increased artistic ability and the stimulation of the creative parts of our brain that also assist us in mathematics and sciences.

The Fine Arts Program at KASE provides our students with good structure and fundamental skills to launch their artistic accomplishments, while at the same time encouraging their individual creativity and personal expression.
